Anniversary

It's been almost a year since I've posted anything, so I guess I should write a few lines. April 15 will be out 39th wedding anniversary. I met Jerry at Pet Inc. in St Louis over 40 years ago. He was a data control clerk in the operations area, and I was a billing clerk in the Frozen Foods Dept. He would bring our computer print-outs up every morning, and leave them with the person in charge of our credit area. He didn't say much, so we thought he was very stuck up. Come to find out, he was just shy. One of my friends from Pet thought that we would make a nice couple, so she called him and set us up. Jerry and his friends from Staunton were going to go to Collinsville Park, a rock 'n' role night club in Collinsville, and I was supposed to meet him there. I tried to talk one of my friends into going, but she wouldn't, so I just stayed home. He called me from there and I picked him up and brought him back to my house. I had to take him back in time for him to catch his ride home. That was the beginning of our romance. I remember him saying that he wan't going to get married for at least 5 years, but somehow I was able to persuade him into getting married sooner than that. We dated for a year and a half before getting married, but I believe we were engaged after 6 months of dating. We both continued working at Pet, and I left when I was pregnant with our first daughter, Monica. I stayed at home for a little over a year, since I became pregnant with our second daughter, Krista. When Krista was 8 weeks old, we decided to buy a larger house, so I needed to go back to work and leave my two little darlings with a babysitter.
